Danielle Beckner Artist

Most of my art is on a domestic scale. For most of my career, my work spaces have always been small. Having to create with in the space of the home, I am drawn to the detritus of everyday life. Domestic materials, paper, cloth, hair, blood, kitchen scraps are the easily accessible objects of everyday family life. Using these materials allow me to restore order to the chaos of the home.

In using these cast-off materials, I aim not only to have a sustainable practice but to get the viewers to think about possibilities and resources in their own lives.
